Stewart Island Videos
I'll start with the incontrovertible proof I have obtained that bigfoot does in fact exist on Stewart Island:
Whether he is a NZ native or came as a stowaway on a ship many years ago is unknown.
Next is some footage of the more common Stewart Island Brown Kiwi:
Fur seal bobbing about near the cliffs where we were attempting to fish:
Some nice Stewart Island mud action:

BBC-2 just reported that a group of highly endangered Kiwis had been found dazzled and near-blind recently on some island south of NZ. Apparently the precious little birds are extremely light-sensitive and will suffer permanent vision loss if exposed to bright light (even just for a moment) if their eyes are dark-adapted. For that reason, NZ takes great care to educate all tourists to NOT use any artificial light in photographing them. Because nobody would be dumb enuf to do such a thing to them, the NZ government has come to the conclusion that this group of kiwis were just accidentally looking up at the night sky when a large meteor flashed overhead. Near-blinded, of course, they will not be able to reproduce and replenish the population, thus making the species no longer able to live in the wild. The surviving birds have been rounded up and put in zoos to live out their last years. The now-useless Island has been purchased by WalMart and will be converted into the world's largest telemarketing call-center and shipping nexus.
Sure is lucky that you guys got to see them in the wild for the last time, huh?
